Zeta Reticuli: real stars, the Hill abduction and the Grey myth

Zeta Reticuli is a real pair of Sun-like stars, usually identified as Zeta 1 and Zeta 2 Reticuli. A query to NASA's public exoplanet catalog did not return confirmed planets for “Reticuli,” which matters: the system is real, but the alien-home claim is not established astronomy.

The ufological leap comes mainly from Betty and Barney Hill. In September 1961, they reported a strange light, missing time and later, under hypnosis, memories of beings, examination and a star map. The 1966 book The Interrupted Journey made the case nationally influential.

Zeta Reticuli was attached afterward. Amateur astronomer Marjorie Fish built three-dimensional models of nearby stars and proposed that Betty's map could be read from a Zeta Reticuli viewpoint. An interpretation became a tradition, giving coordinates to an experience.

From there it connects to military abduction programs, the Secret Space Program, NASA suspicion, stargates, the local star cluster and wider alien typologies such as Pleiadians, Reptilians and Orion Syndicate.
